BALTIMORE, Md. – Jake Brewer (Gibson City, Ill./Gibson City Melvin Sibley) and Brandon Crosby (Richmond, Va./Atlee, Mechanicsville) combined for six hits and six runs scored to propel Prince George's Community College past CCBC Catonsville 9-1 in Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference (MD JUCO) baseball action on Tuesday.

Crosby went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, an RBI single and two stolen bases in the fifth and a double in the seventh with his third stolen base of the afternoon. The sophomore has 13 stolen bases this season after swiping 45 bases as a freshman. Brewer tripled and scored in the fifth and then singled and scored in both the seventh and ninth.

Josh Pietrandrea (Woodbridge, Va./Woodbridge) added two hits, three RBIs and a runs scored while Bay To (Philadelphia, Pa./Neumann-Goretti) posted two hits, two runs scored, two RBIs and two stolen bases and Vinny Rotundo (New York, N.Y./Middletown) recorded two hits and two RBIs.

Chase Perreault (Midland, Va./Liberty) pitched the first five innings to earn his first win of the season after allowing an unearned run while Anthony Cavalier (Sarasota, Fla./Braden River) tossed the final four frames to pick up a save.

CCBC Catonsville scored the first run of the game only to see Prince George's notch the final nine runs of the game to earn the victory.

Trailing 1-0, the Owls scored twice in the fourth to take the lead for good. Crosby tied the game with a solo homer. To then reached on an error and then used a pair of thefts and an error to give the Largo program a 2-1 lead.

A two-run five extended the advantage to 4-1. Brewer tripled and touched home on Crosby's RBI single. Crosby took a page out of To's playbook and stole second and third before crossing the plate on Pietrandrea's sacrifice fly for a three-run lead.

Prince George's recorded its third two-run stanza in the seventh inning. Brewer singled and moved to third on Crosby's double before he touched home on To's sacrifice fly. After Crosby swiped his third base of the day, Pietrandrea plated Crosby with an RBI single to hand the Largo team a 6-1 edge.

Just the previous two scoring frames for the Owls, Brewer was the catalyst for a multi-run inning after they posted three runs for a 9-1 margin. The sophomore singled before To reached on an error and Pietrandrea brought home Brewer on a double and Rotundo capped the scoring with a two-run single.

Prince George's continues its road trip at Hagerstown Community College for a doubleheader on Thursday. First pitch is 2 p.m.
