Perraault And Rotundo Help Prince George's To An Offensive Explosion Against CCBC Dundalk

BALTIMORE, Md. – Chase Perreault (Midland, Va./Liberty) and Vinny Rotundo (New York, N.Y./Middletown) each had three hits and three RBIs to power Prince George's Community College past CCBC Dundalk 25-13 in Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference (MD JUCO) baseball action on Thursday.

Perreault helped the Owls (10-14, 5-8 MD JUCO) offensive explosion begin with a two-run double in the second and added an RBI single in the third. He finished the day with a 3-for-4 performance with three runs scored and three RBIs. Rotundo went 3-for-5 with three doubles, three RBIs and two runs scored. The freshman posted a two-run double in the third and an RBI double in the fifth. 

Austin Adams (Atlanta, Ga./Whitewater) went 3-for-5 with four runs scored, four stolen bases and an RBI while Shawn Alicea (Brooklyn, N.Y./Grand Street) posted a 3-for-4 game with four runs scored and an RBI. Brandon Crosby (Richmond, Va./Atlee, Mechanicsville) posted two hits, two runs scored including a bases clearing home run in the fifth. 

Prince George's scored four runs in the second thanks to a two-run double by Perreault, an RBI single by Tommy Petrosino Jr (Bayonne, N.J./St. Anthony's) while Adams scored on an error for a 4-0 lead.

An eight-run third broke the game open for the Largo program. Alicea, Perreault, Adams, Crosby and Rotundo each posted RBIs in the frame.  

Bay To (Philadelphia, Pa./Neumann-Goretti), who had three runs scored on the afternoon, plated Adams in the fourth on an RBI single.

The Owls notched its second eight-run frame in the fifth. Alexander Montero (LaRomana, Dominican Republic/Colegio Nueva) and Adams each coaxed bases loaded walks before Crosby cleared the bases with his third round tripper of the year. Rotundo then smacked an RBI double and touched home on a wild pitch. The squad added four runs in the seventh to seal the 25-13 victory.

Dominic Marquez (Long Beach, Calif./Jordan) got the win.

Prince George's returns to action one week from Thursday at Anne Arundel Community College on Apr. 19. Game time is 3:30 p.m.
