Prince George's Baseball Upended By Harford

LARGO, Md. – Prince George's Community College lost to Harford Community College 13-2 in Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference (MD JUCO) baseball action on Tuesday.

Austin Adams (Atlanta, Ga./Whitewater) paced the Owls (9-12, 3-5 MD JUCO) with a hit and a run scored. Jake Brewer (Gibson City, Ill./Gibson City Melvin Sibley) registered a hit while Tommy Petrosino Jr (Bayonne, N.J./St. Anthony's) also scored a run on the day.

Prince George's scored twice in the first to tie the game at 2. Adams started the frame with a double to right center and moved to third on a wild pitch. After Petrosino walked, Brandon Crosby (Richmond, Va./Atlee, Mechanicsville) hit a little dribbler in front of the plate and reached on an error while both runners scored on the play. With Crosby at third with no outs, a pair of strikeouts and a ground out ended the inning.

The Owls would have four base runners the rest of the game with three players being hit with a pitch and Brewer's single through the right side in the seventh.

With the game tied at 2, Harford scored a run in the second, seven in the third, one in the fifth and two in the sixth to earn the victory.

Keaton Bradley (Bahama, N.C./Northern Durham) took the loss for Prince George's. Bay To (Philadelphia, Pa./Neumann-Goretti) allowed three unearned runs on two hits with three strikeouts in five innings of relief for the Owls.

Prince George's returns to action on Thursday at home against CCBC Essex. Game time is 3:30 p.m.
