Prince George's Baseball Postponed On Thursday Against CCBC Catonsville

LARGO, Md. – The Prince George's baseball game at CCBC Catonsville, originally scheduled for Thursday at 3 p.m., has been postponed due to field conditions. Makeup date and time to be announced.

Thursday marks the third-straight day the Owls will have a game postponed due to either weather or field conditions. Prince George's was also scheduled to play at CCBC Essex on Tuesday and at Harford on Wednesday, but those Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference (Maryland JUCO) tilts were postponed too.

The Owls (3-1) are coming off a doubleheader sweep of Howard University Club on Mar. 3. The Largo team won the opener 23-2 and then took the nightcap 33-0. Dylan Irizarry (Statesboro, Ga./Statesboro) hit a homer and drove in six runs in the opener while O'Neal Torche (Jersey City, N.J./St. Anthony's) had five RBIs in the nightcap. Austin Adams (Atlanta, Ga./Whitewater), Josh Pietrandrea (Woodbridge, Va./Woodbridge) and Vinny Rotundo (New York, N.Y./Middletown) each posted five RBIs, and Tommy Petrosino (Jersey City, N.J./St. Anthony's) added four RBIs in the sweep.

Prince George's will now open Maryland JUCO play with a doubleheader at Garrett on Saturday. First pitch is 12 p.m. The squad returns home on Sunday to host CCAC Boyce in a National Junior College Athletic Conference Division III Region XX doubleheader. First pitch is set for 12 p.m.
