Anderson, Jackson Repeat as Region 20 Players of the Month

The Region 20 Player of the Month awards for DIII men's and women's basketball will remain in Prince George's for at least one more month after freshman Jai'Den Anderson of the women's team and sophomore Saveon Jackson of the men's team were once again named recipients of the honor, this time for their efforts during December. After both won the award in November, Anderson followed up with an even more dominating December where she averaged a double-double for her team with 14.9 points and 10 rebounds per game. Anderson had a new career best 24 points to go along with 10 rebounds in an 85-34 victory over Butler County on December 10th, finishing the month with four double-doubles while helping the Lady Owls to a 7-3 record and #10 ranking in the NJCAA DIII polls.

Jackson stepped up his game the past month as well, averaging 22.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 3.3 steals per game. Jackson's December was highlighted by three straight games with 29 points in just six days before capping off the first half of the season with two road wins to help the Owls improve to 10-2 in the year and the #4 spot in the Men's DIII Rankings.

The men's team sees their first game action of the New Year on Wednesday, January 10th on the road against Division I Baltimore City while the Lady Owls will have to wait until Saturday the 13th when they take on Allegheny County in Pittsburgh, PA.
