Baseball Field

The Prince George’s Community College Baseball Field is home to the Owls baseball team. The field was completed in the fall of 2019 by AstroTurf, one of the most reputable synthetic turf companies in the market today. The field features a total of 126,122 square feet of turf. This includes 15 feet of red clay colored turf surrounding the entire field which simulates a warning track. The field measures 323-feet down the left field line, 352-feet to center and 335-feet down the right field line. Behind home plate is a custom 11.5’ x 15’ display of the Owls primary logo.

Outside the playing field are two full size batting cages which also feature turf surfacing. Behind both the home and visiting dugouts are turf mound bullpens with turf catchers boxes as well. The Owls digital Nevco scoreboard includes bright settings to make scoreboard viewing easy to see from the four sets of spectator bleachers.
