Terrell Harris Named HoopDirt.Com JUCO National Coach of the Week

The Prince George's Community College men's basketball head coach Terrell Harris has been named the HoopDirt.com's JUCO Coach of the Week presented by Just Play Solutions for week five. Harris is now eligible to receive HoopDirt.com's National Coach of the Year Award presented by Just Play Solutions which will be presented at the conclusion of the college basketball season.

The Owls, currently ranked 4th in the NJCAA Division III standings, wrapped up an undefeated week as they went 3-0 at home which included victories over programs at each divisional level - DI, DII, and DIII. Prince George's began by defeating DI Harford on Wednesday night, 77-72, before handing DII Garrett an 86-84 loss in a nail-biter that came down to the final few seconds. The Owls capped off the week with a convincing 101-86 win over Butler County in a revenge game of last year's Region 20 Championship game.

Harris is in his fourth year overall with the Largo program which he's captained for the past two seasons. He guided last year's team to a 25-5 overall record which included winning the Maryland JUCO Title and a spot in the National Tournament after earning the colleges first ever at-large bid across any sport. Now in year two at the helm with an 8-1 record, Harris currently has a .846 career winning percentage.

Prince George's wraps up their five-game home stand on Friday, December 15th against CCBC Catonsville at 7 PM. The Owls will then close out the year with a road trip where they'll play Massasoit and Hostos Community College before they have some time off for winter break.
