Jasir Tremble Selected To 2024 NJCAA Basketball All-Star Game

Sophomore guard Jasir Tremble of the Prince George's Community College men's basketball team continues to collect accolades for his outstanding 2023-24 campaign. A week after being named Second Team All-American, Tremble was chosen as an All-Star selection, it was announced by the NJCAA Men's Basketball Coaches Association on Thursday, April 18th. This year marks  the 14th NJCAA Men's Basketball All-Star Game dating back to 2009. 

 

Tremble is one of twenty-seven NJCAA men's basketball student athletes across all three Divisions in the nation selected to compete in the 2024 All-Star Game which will be held in Las Vegas, NV in The Orleans Arena on Saturday, May 18th. Game time is slated for 4:30 PM EST.

 

This is the 14th NJCAA Men's Basketball All-Star Game dating back to 2009. This year's event features thirteen Division I players, nine Division II players, and five Division III players to fill up the two rosters. Players will be selected by the coaches and separated into teams at a later date.

 

This past season Tremble helped lead his team to a 22-7 overall record which included a Region 20 DIII and Mid-Atlantic District Championship to earn Prince George's a spot in the National Tournament as the #7 seed. He was also named First Team All-Region, Region Tournament MVP, and eclipsed the century mark in points scored while averaging 23.4 points per game.

 
Notable participants of past All-Star Games include Chris Duarte (Northwest Florida State) now with the Sacramento Kings, Chris Boucher (Northwest) now with the Toronto Raptors, 2022 Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Year Alondes Williams (Triton) and 2021 Summit League Player of the Year Douglas Wilson (Kirkwood).
