  • Prince George's Community College lost to Anne Arundel Community College 63-40 on Friday.
  • Misty Harewood paced the Owls with 14 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals. Harewood has scored 14 points in each of her last two games and has scored double figures in his last three tilts. The freshman has scored double figures six times this season. Harewood has hauled in at least five boards nine times this season. 
  • Imani Andrews added a career-high 10 points along with seven rebounds. It is the first time in her career that Andrews has scored double figures in a game after scoring a career-high eight points against Hagerstown Community College on November 28. She grabbed at least seven boards six times this year.
  • The Owls took the lead three times in the first three minutes and 36 seconds. Andrews gave the Largo team a 2-0 lead, Harewood handed Prince George's a 4-2 lead and then she drilled a trey at the 6:22 mark to hand the Owls a 7-6 lead. The River Hawks then scored 14 of the final 21 points to take the first quarter 20-13.
  • Marisse Chop recorded six points, seven rebounds and three assists while Johnson chipped in six points and six caroms in the loss.
THE ROAD AHEAD
 
  • The Owls conclude their homestand against CCBC Catonsville on Friday.
  • The Largo team travels to Cecil College on January 30.
  • Prince George's will conclude the regular season at home against Chesapeake College on February 1 and against Garrett College on February 2.
  • Hagerstown will host the Maryland JUCO Tournament this year.
  • Prince George's will also host the region tournament in February.
