Prince George's Women's Basketballs Upended By Harford In League Opener

BEL AIR, Md. – Prince George's Community College opened Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference (MD JUCO) action against tough competition and the Owls battled hard in a loss to Harford Community College in women's basketball action on Tuesday.

Freshman Marche Sisco (Fort Washington, Md./Friendly) paced the (Owls (1-4, 0-1 MD JUCO) with 15 points, five steals, three assists and three rebounds. The freshman has posted double figures in four of her first five collegiate games and is averaging 22.2 points per game on the season. 

Fellow freshman Quatazia Johnson (Hyattsville, Md./Northwestern) added a career-best 13 points along with four steals in the 115-38 loss. It marked the second time this season Johnson has reached double figures. Johnson posted 10 points in her collegiate debut against Middlesex County College and is averaging 7.4 points per game this year.

Freshman Aja Hale (Seat Pleasant, Md./Gwynn Park) continues to be a force on the boards, finishing with seven caroms against the Fighting Owls. The freshman has hauled in at least seven rebounds in each of her last four games including a pair of double-digit contests. Hale leads the team with 7.4 rebounds per game.

Freshman Imani Andrews (Suitland, Md./Crosslands) made her collegiate debut on the evening and registered two points and three rebounds.

Prince George's returns to action on Sunday against SUNY Sullivan. Game time is 12 p.m.
