Prince George's Women's Basketball Falls To Frederick

LARGO, Md. – Despite 20 points from Marche Sisco (Fort Washington, Md./Friendly), Prince George's falls to Frederick Community College in Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference (MD JUCO) women's basketball action on Wednesday.

Sisco made six shots from the floor, two from 3-point land and six charity tosses to finish with her fifth 20-point game of the season. She has reached double figures in points in seven of nine contests. The freshman nearly had a double or even triple-double after registering a career-high nine steals along with seven rebounds and four assists. Sisco has posted at least five steals in seven of the nine games this year and has 17 in her last two games. She leads the team with 20.6 points and 5.6 steals per game.

Imani Andrews (Suitland, Md./Crossland) posted a career-high 12 rebounds after posting her first career double-figure rebound game with 10 boards against Northern Virginia Community College on Dec. 4. Andrews is averaging 10.0 rebounds per game in her last three tilts. 

Quatazia Johnson (Hyattsville, Md./Northwestern) added eight points while Misty Harewood (Oxon Hills, Md./Potomac) hauled in eight rebounds in the 79-40 loss. Johnson has scored at least seven points in a game six times this season including a pair of double-figure games. Harewood has hauled in at least seven caroms seven times this year including a career-best 11 boards against Hagerstown Community College on Nov. 28.

Nehemie Villain (Hyattsville, Md./Northwestern) ranks second on the team with 8.5 points per game while Johnson is third with 7.1 points per game.

Frederick won each quarter by scores of 20-13, 21-7, 23-7 and 15-13 to earn the victory.

Prince George's returns to action on Friday when the squad wraps up a five-game homestand against Butler County Community College in NJCAA Region XX Division III action. Tip off is 5 p.m. It will also be the last day of the New Toy Drive for Toys 4 Tots and there will be an Ugly Sweater Contest at halftime.
