By MACHEL MILLWOOD

Largo, Md. - The lady Owls lost their 6th game of the season on Friday to Cumberland County College. It was a good effort by the team as they made multiple runs in both halves to cut the lead to single digits. However, Cumberland was able to withstand the Owls momentum and eventually had enough offensive fire power to extend their lead and secure the win by a score of 77-60.

Sophomore Jaida Jenkins was top scorer for the Owls with 19 points and snatched 14 rebounds.  Markaila Carter and Samantha Spencer also chipped in with 15 points 7 rebound and 13 points 3 assist respectively. Tamyra Smith of Cumberland was the top scorer for the game with 21 points and 13 rebounds.

The lady Owls will look to get back to winning ways when they travel to play Allegany on Wednesday, January 28. Tip-off is set for 5:00 PM.
