Lady Owls Splits a Pair in Charm City Tournament

By MACHEL MILLWOOD

Baltimore, Md. - The Lady Owls split a pair of games at the Baltimore City Legends Classic over the weekend with a 63-37 loss to ASA College and a 62-41 win over College of Southern Maryland.

Although the ladies showed some competitive edge in different spurts throughout the first game against ASA College, it could be seen as a lock lustered performance by the team. Defensively, the team performed well, as they were credited with forcing their opponent to 34 turnovers while only giving up 2 free throw attempts the entire game. Unfortunately, the Owls were unable to capitalize on the mistakes of ASA and were only able to muster up 37 points throughout this game.

However, the team was able to bounce back with a better overall performance against College of Southern Maryland in their second contest outscoring their opponents by 21 points. This game saw the lady Owls showing total dominance on both sides of the ball. They won the rebound battle and were able to put up 61 points while holding their opponent to a measly 42 points.

The Owls will look to continue this type of performance and win streak at home on Friday November 21, when they host CCBC Dundalk. Tip-off is set for 5:00 PM.
