Prince George's Women's Basketball Announces Schedule Changes

LARGO, Md. – The Prince George's women's basketball game against CC of Beaver County, originally scheduled for Tuesday, December 12 at 5 p.m., has been canceled. In addition, the Owls basketball game against Mesabi Range, originally scheduled for Saturday, December 16 at 1 p.m., was pulled from the schedule earlier this year.

With these two schedule changes, the Prince George's women's basketball team will not have another home game at Novak Field House until the New Year. The Owls did leave the Largo faithful with a great performance against CCBC Catonsville for Alumni Appreciation Night on Wednesday. In the 76-63 victory against the Cardinals, sophomore Gina Seifert (Owings, Md./Northern) registered a career-high 30 points along with 16 rebounds for her eighth double-double of the season. Freshman Imani Yates (Seat Pleasant, Md./Friendship Collegiate) posted her second career double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds to go along with six assists, five steals and a block while sophomore Myanna Strong (Upper Marlboro, Md./Largo) registered 13 points, seven assists, five blocks, three steals and two rebounds to stuff the stat sheet in the victory.

Prince George's will now embark on a three-game road trip at Chesapeake on Thursday, at Montgomery on Dec. 20 and will start the New Year at Anne Arundel on Jan. 5. The Owls will now return to Novak Field House on Jan. 10 against Baltimore City.
