Panton And Lawrence Register Two Goals Apiece In Win At College Of Southern Maryland

LA PLATA, Md. – Roshawn Panton (Bowie, Md./Eleanor Roosevelt) and Perry Lawrence (Langley Park, Md./Eleanor Roosevelt) each scored two goals, and Edwin Claros (Adelphi, Md./High Point) dished out four assists to power Prince George's Community College past the College of Southern Maryland in Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference (MD JUCO) men's soccer action on Friday.

Panton scored the first two goals in the match on through balls from Edwin Claros in the fifth and 16th minutes. The freshman now has 19 goals and six assists for 44 points and has scored multi-goals in a game five times this season.

Lawrence notched his first two collegiate goals in the second half in the 70th and 95th minutes off passes from Edwin Claros.

Edwin Claros leads the team with 15 assists on the year and matched his career-high of four assists from the win against Brookdale on Sept. 23.

Brian Ngoh (Fort Washington, Md./Friendly) also twinkled the twine in the 43rd minute off a cross from William Chavez (Hyattsville, Md./Northwestern). It was Ngoh's fourth goal of the campaign and Chavez's third feeder.

Jonathan Claros (Adelphi, Md./High Point) made eight saves for the Owls (9-3-0, 6-3-0 MD JUCO) in the winning effort.

Prince George's returns to action on Tuesday at Montgomery. Match time is 4 p.m.
