Eighth-Ranked Prince George's Men's Soccer Does Not Skip A Beat In Win Against Chesapeake Skipjacks

WYE MILLS, Md. – AJ Okey-Uche (Springdale, Md.) posted two goals and six assists while Edwin Claros (Adelphi, Md./High Point), Roshawn Panton (Bowie, Md./Eleanor Roosevelt) and Delon Ramdeen (Landover, Md./Charles H. Flowers) each registered a hat trick to lead eighth-ranked Prince George's Community College past Chesapeake College 16-0 in Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference (MD JUCO) men's soccer action on Tuesday.

Okey-Uche notched his first collegiate assist in the 23rd minute and then found the twine for the first time in his career 16 minutes later. The freshman would add one more assist in the first half and a tally and four assists in the final frame.

Edwin Claros posted back-to-back goals in the first half and the first marker of the final frame to notch his first hat trick of the season and third of his career. The sophomore, who also added an assist on the day, leads the team with six goals and two assists for 14 points.

Panton posted his first career hat trick after scoring three times in the first half in a span of 18 minutes. The freshman also dished out a helper in the match and is tied with Edwin Claros for the team lead with six goals and two assists for 14 points.

Ramdeen scored the first goal of the game at the 42:34 mark for his first collegiate tally. The freshman would add his second score nine minutes into the match and then completed his first collegiate hat trick with a marker in the second half.

Juvinny Benavides (Laurel, Md./Overseas) tallied a goal and two assists, including his first collegiate assist with 18 minutes left in first half and then twinkled the twine for the first time with 12 minutes left in the match.

Celio Grice (Riverdale, Md./Parkdale) and Elmer Hernandez (College Park, Md./Parkdale) each posted their second tallies of the season while Carlos Calix (College Park, Md./Parkdale) notched a goal and an assist.

Maxwell Kirksey-Walcott (Lanham, Md./Eleanor Roosevelt) registered his first career marker with four minutes left in the first half while Erick Colindres (Hyattsville, Md./Parkdale) notched his first two assists of his collegiate career. Colindres found the head of Ramdeen on a corner for the first score of the game and first helper of his career. William Chavez (Hyattsville, Md./Northwestern) posted his second assist of his career.

Saul Sosa (Upper Marlboro, Md./Sr. Henry Wise) posted two saves for the Owls (3-1-0, 2-1-0 MD JUCO) in the winning effort.

Prince George's scored five times in the first 25 minutes of the match and never looked back on its way to the Owls third win of the season.

The Owls return to action when they start a four-game homestand in nine days against Cecil College on Friday. Match time is 6 p.m.
