Seeds Announced For 2017 NJCAA Division III Region XX Baseball Tournament Hosted By Prince George's
LARGO, Md. – The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division III Region XX Baseball Tournament field has been announced. The double-elimination three-day tournament will be hosted by Prince George's Community College on Friday-Sunday.
Prince George's Community College (28-12-1, 6-0 Region XX) clinched the No. 1 seed after winning all six contests in the region. Montgomery College (23-23, 2-2 Region XX) earned the No. 2 seed while Community College of Allegheny County-South (CCAC-South) (12-8, 3-3 Region XX) will be the No. 3 seed and Butler County Community College (4-5, 0-3 Region XX) rounds out the tournament field as the fourth seed in the tournament.

Montgomery and CCAC-South will open the tournament on Friday at 10 a.m. Butler County will battle Prince George's on Friday at 1 p.m. The teams that lose in the first two games will square off in an elimination game on Friday at 4 p.m. For full bracket information, CLICK HERE.
The winner of the NJCAA Division III Region XX Tournament advances to NJCAA District D and will host the winner of the Region X Tournament on May 19-21 in a best two-of-three series with the winner moving onto the NJCAA Division III World Series.
Prince George's is led by Brandon Crosby, who leads the team with a .450 batting average with 68 hits, 63 runs scored, 14 doubles, two triples, two homers, 43 RBIs and leads the nation with 42 stolen bases. Dakota McFadden is second on the team with a .434 batting average with 59 hits, 41 runs scored, 20 doubles, a triple eight homers and 50 RBIs while Bay To ranks third with a .431 batting average with 56 hits, 44 runs scored, 17 doubles, four triples, seven homers and 40 RBIs. Hurlers Jonathan Mahoney, McFadden and Michael Hovermill, Jr. have logged the most innings this season for the Owls. Mahoney is 5-1 with 67 strikeouts and a 4.00 ERA in 54.0 innings of work while McFadden is 4-2 with 53 strikeouts and 2.98 ERA in 48.1 innings of work. Hovermill, the two-time NJCAA Division III Pitcher of the Week, is 6-0 with 35 strikeouts and a 1.83 ERA in 39.1 innings this season.
Montgomery is paced by Brock Antognoni, who has a .311 batting average with 42 hits, 31 runs scored, eight doubles, two triples, four homers and 39 RBIs. Naja Garcia ranks second with a .304 batting average with 41 hits, 40 runs scored, four doubles, two homers and 25 RBIs while Aaron Brooks boasts a .298 batting clip with 31 hits, 29 runs scored, nine doubles, a triple, a homer and 15 RBIs. Clayton Dwyer, Greg Brown and Vincent Anninos have worked the most of the Raptors pitchers this season. Dwyer is 7-2 with 62 strikeouts and a 3.07 ERA in 58.2 innings pitched. Brown is 4-2 with 43 strikeouts and a 4.56 ERA in 51.1 innings pitched while Anninos is 3-4 with 34 strikeouts and a 6.36 ERA in 46.2 innings on the hill.
Omar Pineda Cabrera fuels CCAC-South with a .426 batting average with 26 hits, 19 runs scored, nine doubles, a homer and eight RBIs. Rafael Ramos ranks second on the Tigers with a .339 batting average with 21 hits, seven runs scored, two doubles and nine RBIs while Raymond Santos is third with a .286 batting average with 14 hits, 11 runs scored, a double, two triples and three RBIs. Christian Perez, Ryan Frizzel and Joseph Cinello have tossed the most innings for the pitching staff this season. Perez is 3-2 with 36 strikeouts and a 3.38 ERA in 34.2 innings pitched. Frizzel is 2-2 with 12 strikeouts and a 5.06 ERA in 26.2 innings of work while Cinello is 2-2 with 10 strikeouts and a 4.35 ERA in 20.2 innings on the mound.
Fourth seed Butler County is led by Colter Cavalero with a .500 batting average, eight hits, three runs scored, a double and four RBIs. Kyle Campbell is second on the team with a .433 batting average with 13 hits, four runs scored, three doubles and four RBIs while Logan Hickey is hitting .303 with 10 hits, 10 runs scored, a double and six RBIs. Zach Jewart has logged the most innings this season for the Pioneers, tossing 13.0 innings with a 1-1 record, nine strikeouts and a 4.85 ERA while Isaiah Glass is 1-1 with three strikeouts in 10.1 innings of work.
