Prince George's Baseball Announces Changes For Three-Game Series Against Orange County Due to Weather

LARGO, Md. – Prince George's baseball has announced changes to the schedule for this weekend against Orange County due to impending weather scheduled to hit the area on Saturday. The Owls and the Orange Colts will play a single nine-inning game on Saturday starting at 10:30 a.m. and then will complete the three-game series on Sunday with a doubleheader starting at 10 a.m.

Prince George's is coming off a 6-0 opening weekend in Danville, Va., with wins against UVAA (13-3, 15-0, 24-7), Central Virginia Community College (23-1) and the College of Faith (12-2, 6-5). Prince George's batted .528 (93-for-176) as a team with 18 doubles, five triples, five homers and 80 RBIs. Freshman Brandon Crosby led the way for the Owls with a .696 batting average (16-for-23) with 13 runs scored, three doubles and 17 RBIs. Fellow freshmen Dwayne Coleman and Harold Marte each belted two homers while sophomore Ryan Faircloth also went yard on the trip. Sophomore Dakota McFadden registered nine hits, nine runs scored and nine RBIs while freshman Bay To notched eight hits, seven runs scored, two doubles, two triples and seven RBIs on the weekend.

Orange County will be opening its 2017 campaign with the three-game series this weekend.
