We conclude our look back at the 2016-17 season for Prince George's Community College with the series "Through Owl Eyes" on the diamond with the baseball team. Now that we have recapped the 2016-17 athletic season, the Prince George's Top Moment Bracket will be released on Tuesday.

Baseball Full Count
- Prince George's started the season on a high note after winning its first nine games. The Owls sat at 10-5-1 through 16 games before finishing 19-7 in the final 26 games of the regular season and went on to post the first 30-win season in program history.
- Prince George's was ranked in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division III Baseball Rankings in six of the final seven weeks of the season, placing eighth, ninth and 10th twice each in that span.
- The Owls rallied to win seven games in their last offensive inning, but the biggest come-from-behind victory probably came against Butler County in the NJCAA Division III Region XX Tournament opening round on May 14. Trailing 5-0 in the bottom of the ninth, Prince George's scored five times to tie the game before Ryan Faircloth had the game-winning hit in the bottom of the 10th inning. The squad then defeated Montgomery 8-7 and 6-5 to claim its second Region XX title in the last four years.
- The Owls then took two-out-of-three games against Surry to claim the NJCAA Division III District D title and send the Largo program to the NJCAA Division III World Series. The squad lost to Tyler and Delta in the two games in the World Series.
- Brandon Crosby was named an NJCAA Division III First-Team All-American while Dakota McFadden was named to the second team.

Baseball By The Stats
- Prince George's posted seven winnings streaks on the year, including a pair of four-game winning streaks, a five-game winning streak, and the nine-game winning streak to open the year.
- Prince George's was one of the best offensive teams in the nation after leading NJCAA Division III in home runs (54) and slugging percentage (.569). The squad also ranked fifth in batting average (.359), fifth in stolen bases (117), sixth in doubles (118), seventh in on-base percentage (.569), ninth in runs scored (414), ninth in RBIs (357), 10th in hits (556) and 10th in triples (21).
- Crosby paced NJCAA Division III with 45 stolen bases and ranked fourth in the nation in any division.
- Crosby led the team in batting average (.440), hits (81), runs (71), stolen bases (45) and on-base percentage. McFadden paced the team in doubles (23), home runs (11), RBIs (60) and slugging percentage. McFadden smacked seven of his 11 homers in his last 13 games, including homering in three-straight games in the postseason.
- Jonathan Mahoney fueled the pitching staff in innings pitched (67.1), strikeouts (83) and strikeouts per nine innings (11.09) while ranking second in wins (5).
