2022-23 Women’s Basketball Schedule

Prince George's Community College women's basketball, the reigning Mid-Atlantic District Champions, begins the 2022-23 season as the #9 ranked team among NJCAA Division 3 programs and will be put to the test early as they host #14 Northampton in the Owls opener on November 5th in Novak Field House. The Lady Owls will have a similar look to last year's record setting team as head coach Devin May returns 6 student athletes from his 2021 squad. Prince George's finished the season 18-7 and picked up a win in the National Championship as May guided the team to the quarterfinals, ultimately losing to the eventual National Champions, Owens Community College.

The Owls continue a divisional slate as they take on Camden County at home on November 11th before two road contests coming against RCSJ – Cumberland (11/17) and at Butler County on November 19th when Prince George's opens up Region 20 Division 3 play. The Owls will then close out the first month of action with a home game against Southern Maryland on November 30th.

Prince George's will stay put to begin December when they welcome Harford on December 2nd in a battle of the Owls which will also be Prince George's first Division 1 opponent on their schedule. The Owls follow up with back-to-back road contests against Chesapeake (12/5) and CCBC Essex (12/10) before they close out the fall semester at home against Northern Virginia (12/14).

The Lady Owls return in the New Year to take on CCAC at home on Wednesday, January 4th in their second regional division matchup which stretches into their third as they travel to Anne Arundel (1/7) for their following game. Prince George's then has some time off before heading to Montgomery on the 18th to take on their cross-town rivals. The Owls then have their final home stand of the season to close out January versus Howard (1/24), CCBC Catonsville (1/25), and Allegany (1/28) inside Novak Field House.

The final games of the regular season all come on the road as Prince George's travels to Camden County (2/2), Garrett (2/4), Westmoreland (2/5), Hagerstown (2/13), and Harcum (2/16) to finish out the year. Coach May and his Owls will travel back to Westmoreland on February 24th where the Region 20 tournament will take place, with the championship taking place on Sunday, February 26th. The Region 20 winner will then host the Region 10 winner in the Mid-Atlantic District Championship. Prince George's is looking for their third Region 20 title in four years after coach May guided the Owls to its 6th overall crown during the 2021-22 season.
