Lady Owls Earn #2 Seed in Region 20 Tournament
The Prince George's Community College women's basketball team has secured a spot in the upcoming Region 20 Division II Tournament and enters as the #2 seed, the region announced recently.
The Lady Owls earned the #2 seed with an 8-1 record over region 20 DII opponents and will face 7th-seeded Chesapeake College (4-5 Region 20 DII) in the quarterfinals on Wednesday, March 5th at 5 PM in the Kahlert Complex at Howard Community College. Prince George's beat Chesapeake earlier in the year on January 24th, defeating the Skipjacks by 18 points, 66-48, on the road.
Teams that advance to the semi-finals will have off on Thursday before returning to Howard for the next round on Friday, March 7th. The women's championship game will be Saturday, March 8th at 12 PM. The full women's seedings with each program's regional division record are listed below:

2. Prince George's 8-1
3. CCBC Catonsville 5-4
4. Potomac State 5-4
5. Howard 5-4
6. Montgomery 5-4
7. Chesapeake 4-5
8. Hagerstown 2-7
Tickets for the tournament are $20 per day to enter on both Wednesday and Friday. Entrance to Saturday's championship game will cost $10 for the day. Howard accepts cash or card.
