Prince George’s Lands Five On All-Region Team

The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 20 announced the All-Region Teams in the past week, revealing the top student athletes across each division as voted on by head coaches. Of the 13 division III athletes selected, 5 were representatives of Prince George's Community College.

Sophomore transfers Bennie Spady (DH) and Miles LeVere (Infield) were 2 of 5 sophomores selected while freshmen Luis Cedeno (Outfield), Santiago Jimenez (Infield), and Joey Withers (Pitcher) rounded out the Owls chosen to represent the All-Region Team. All five selections earned top honors, being named to the All-Region First Team. Only the Region 20 champion, Community College of Allegheny had more students placed on the roster with 6 total selections while Westmoreland had 2.

The Owls swept their region divisional opponents during the regular season and advanced to the Region Championship in western Pennsylvania but ultimately came up short against CCAC, wrapping up their as the Region 20 runner up.
