Five-Goal Second Half Propels Prince George's Men's Soccer Past Cumberland County, 5-0

VINELAND, N.J. – David Olabisi (District Heights, Md./DuVal) recorded two goals in a five-score second half to power Prince George's Community College past Cumberland County College 5-0 in non-conference men's soccer action on Saturday.

Olabisi, one of the Owls' (4-3) stalwarts in the defense, used his head and his feet for a pair of tallies to cap the 5-0 victory. The sophomore took a nice serve from Jalen Washington (Washington, D.C./DeMatha) and headed as shot into the left netting at the 83:09 mark before he punched in a serve from Alan Hernandez (Hyattsville, Md./Northwestern) with four minutes and 29 seconds remaining.

After a scoreless first half, Moh Sherif (Capital Heights, Md./Central) got the scoring started when he was able to knock a deflection through the goalkeeper's legs at the 47:28 mark for a 1-0 edge. It was the sophomore captain's third tally of the season after finding the twine in all three contests this week. Sherif now has six goals and one assist for 13 points.

Hernandez, who recorded his first career assist on the final marker of the game, notched his first collegiate goal unassisted at 50:57 to give Prince George's a two-goal advantage.

Chris Garcia (Fort Washington, Md./Friendly) helped Guillaume Nseke (Largo, Md./Largo) post his first shot that twinkled the twine in his college career when the duo connected from right to left and Nseke drilled a shot into the left netting at the 70:37 mark. Garcia now has one goal and two assists for four points while Nseke has a tally and an assist for three points after setting up the team's first goal of the season against Hagerstown on Sept. 4.

Aboubacarr Sinera (Lanham, Md./Parkdale) made two saves in the first 77:47 minutes of the match before Angel Olmedo made his collegiate debut and played the final 12:13 with one save to complete the shutout. It was the squad's fifth shutout of the season.

Washington notched his first career feeder and now has a goal and an assist for three points in 2018.

Prince George's returns to action on Tuesday to start a three-game homestand against CCBC Essex. Game time has been moved to 6 p.m.
