Prince George’s Travels To Hagerstown To Take On Top-Ranked Hawks

The Prince George's Community College baseball team travels to Hagerstown Community College tomorrow, April 17th for a noon doubleheader against the top-ranked Hawks. Hagerstown, who currently sits alone at the top of the Maryland JUCO baseball rankings with a 15-1 conference ranking (28-6 overall), is in the midst of an 18-game winning streak. Meanwhile, Prince George's has hit a rut as they're currently on a 5-game losing streak.

The Owls (2-6, 2-6 MD JUCO) have been successful in reaching base and putting up runs but have struggled defensively, allowing double-digit runs in each of their six losses. Prince George's most recent victory occured on April 6th in a 4-3 road victory over Division II opponent Montgomery College in game one of a doubleheader before they fell in game two, 14-9.

Since then, the Owls have dropped four straight home games while being outscored 50-24. Prince George's will have their hands full as they try to create some magic on the road against a tough Hagerstown squad that has been difficult to slow down this season. The first pitch is scheduled to go out at noon with game two beginning approximately twenty minutes after the conclusion of game one.
