Athletic Department Announces New Head Coach for Men-s Soccer

Prince George’s Community College athletics director Jo Ann Rogers Todaro announced the hiring of Machel Millwood, as head men’s soccer coach. "Machel is a great fit for our program," Rogers said. "His prior experience at Prince George’s, as a student athlete and assistant coach, along with his professional career, has prepared him to help us continue to move toward developing a championship-caliber program. He understands what it takes from every aspect of community college and is committed to our vision of student success.” 

"I'm thankful for the opportunity to return to Prince George’s, and help student athletes accomplish their goals.  With the talent in the county, my goal is to get the college back to competing for a national championship.”

 Millwood is an NJCAA All American (1999) from Prince George’s Community College.   After leaving Prince George’s Community College, Coach Millwood transferred to Towson University on a full athletic scholarship to represent the Tigers. In his two years representing the Tigers he was instrumental in capturing the conference title and was named to the All American and All Conference Teams. He is ranked 5th in goals scored and 7th in assist overall in Towson Tigers history with only two years played.  He graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration and a minor in Economics. He later earned his Master’s degree in Finance at University of Maryland University College.

Machel Millwood currently holds the USSF “B” National coaching license and has over 9 years of coaching experience in youth/club and 2 years has an assistant at the college level. He Played 12 combined years professionally in the (MLS) Major League Soccer, (USL)A-League, and (MISL) Major Indoor Soccer League.

 Accomplishments:

  • Represented the U.S.A National Futsal Team in CONCACAF and other International Tournaments and is recognized as the first player to score 5 goals in 1 International Futsal game for the USA.
  • Won 4 MISL Championships With Baltimore Blast-2006, 2008, 2009, 2012.
  • Named to the All-League Team 7 times
  • MVP of the 2006 MISL finals with overtime winning goals in semi-finals and finals.
  • 2008 Finalist of the (USL) A-league with Atlanta Silverbacks
