
Rogers Todaro to Be Inducted into NJCAA Women’s Soccer Hall of Fame
The Owls are excited to share that The National Junior College Athletic Association has announced Prince George's Community College Athletics Director Jo Ann Rogers Todaro will be inducted into the NJCAA Women's Soccer Coaches Association Hall of Fame.
Rogers Todaro has been actively involved with the NJCAA DI Women's Soccer Tournament since 1997. She first served as president of the Coaches Association before moving to the NJCAA DI Women's Soccer Chair (2007 to present). She played an integral role in the improvement of the NJCAA DI Women's Soccer Tournament, advocating for the expansion of the tournament from an eight-team single-elimination format to a twelve-team pool play tournament, which was adopted in 2012. Rogers Todaro staunchly supports the opportunities the NJCAA provides and believes in providing the best experience possible for all student-athletes.
Rogers Todaro has been at Prince George's Community College for forty years and has been the athletics director since 2004. As athletics director, she has focused on the academic success of her student-athletes. Under her leadership, over hundred student-athletes have earned NJCAA All-American honors, numerous region championships, and numerous appearances in several NJCAA National Championships.
She was elected to the NJCAA Region 20 Assistant Women's Director in 2004 and moved up to Women's Director in 2012. In 2018, she was elected as Region 20 Board of Regent member for the NJCAA. Rogers Todaro has made many contributions to the NJCAA, serving on numerous NJCAA Committees, including DI Women's Soccer, DIII Women's Volleyball; she has chaired multiple committees over the years, including DI Women's Soccer, Bowling, and DII Sport Districting.
Her contributions, dedication, and hard work have been recognized by several awards, including MD JUCO Athletic Director of the Year (2006, 2008, 2012), the NISOA/NSCAA Charles Lee Merit Award (2008), the NJCAA Mary Ellen Leicht Service Award (2018), 2022 George Killian Award of Excellence and 2024 Region 20 Carol Eustis Athletic Director of the Year.
The Hall of Fame induction will be held on November 16, 2024, at the NJCAA DI Men's and Women's National Championship in Wichita, Kansas.
