
9 Owls Earn NJCAA All-Academic Honors
Nine Prince George's student-athletes were named to a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Academic Team, which was announced on Wednesday, July 18th. All sports that were fielded in the past year had at least one student earn honors. Men's soccer; Oluwadamilola Ogunbode (First Team) and Randy Salvador (Second Team), Men's Basketball; Noah Davis (Third Team), Justin Minor (Third Team), and John Osuji (Third Team), Women's Basketball; Emi-Noel Epolle-Njabe (Third Team), Baseball; Jacob Jewett (Third Team), William King Jr. (Third Team), and Princeton Newbold (Third Team).
Student-athletes are eligible to earn academic honors by achieving an overall GPA of 3.60 or higher for the 2023-24 academic year. The criteria for the three All-Academic teams are listed below:
- NJCAA All-Academic First Team: 4.00 GPA
- NJCAA All-Academic Second Team: 3.80-3.99 GPA
- NJCAA All-Academic Third Team: 3.60-3.79 GPA

3, 424 student-athletes garnered NJCAA All-Academic First Team honors after achieving a 4.0 GPA. 4, 013 student-athletes were named to the NJCAA All-Academic Second Team while 4,808 student-athletes received third-team recognition.
