Baseball Players Signed to Four Year Institutions for 2016-17 Season

Largo, Md. - After wrapping up another successful baseball season, the Owls program is proud to announce that four sophomores have committed to transfering to higher institutions for the 2016-17 season.

Nick Rathke will be transferring to NCAA DII University of Western Alabama. He was the Owls most dominant pitcher on the season with 7 wins, 2 losses and 72 strikeouts. John Bonanca was a two year starter and will be transferring to Coppin State University where he will compete at the NCAA DI level. He tallied 22RBI's, 37R and 14SB on the season. Corey Fields will be transferring to UNC Pembroke and will compete at the NCAA DII level. He had a .267BA, 19RBI's and scored 15 runs. Luis Reyes will represent Florida Memorial University in the NAIA. Reyes finished the season with .385 on base percentage, 12RBi's and 10 runs. All four players played a key role in bringing the team back to Region XX DIII finals for the 2015-16 season.

Coach foster and staff are proud of the continuous improvements that the players have made on and off the field this year. They believe these players will be valuable contributors to their respective programs at the next level.
