Men's Soccer Releases Fall Schedule
Largo, Md. – Owls head men's soccer coach Machel Millwood has announced the program's 2016 fall schedule. The program will play 19 games featuring 12 in the MDJUCO Conference and 5 from Region XX DIII Conference.
The Owls men will open the season with two tough pre-season games against NCAA Division 1 opponent Loyola University on August 17, followed by a game against Gallaudet University on August 19. The team will then open their regular season in New York on August 27 when they battle Bergen Community College (14-5-1, ranked 5th in NJCAA) in the Coliseum Kickoff Classic hosted by Herkimer College. The Owls second match of the tournament will be against Herkimer College (13-4-1, ranked 7th in NJCAA) or Bunker Hill (16-8-0, ranked 2nd in NJCAA) which were nationally ranked to end the 2015 season.
The team will open their 2016 home schedule on Tuesday, September 6, against CCBC Catonsville. The Owls have dominated this matchup over the past three years and outplayed the Cardinals with a 6-0 thumping in 2015.
The Owls will return 8 former players to their 2016 roster with a strong defensive unit that will include Fredy Roque, Ndip Urich, Abdel Yacoubou and Ian Kisakye. The 2016 schedule is available for viewing on the athletic website at www.pgccowls.com or click the link below.
