Sherif Nabs All-Maryland JUCO Men's Soccer First-Team Honors

LARGO, Md. – Moh Sherif (Capital Heights, Md./Central), a member of the Prince George's Community College men's soccer team, has been named to the All-Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference (MD JUCO) first team announced on Friday.

Sherif, a sophomore captain, ranked second on the team with five goals and four assists for 14 points while starting all 17 games on the year. The sophomore registered a point in seven-straight games and in eight of nine games during the season. He scored a goal against Harford Community College, College of Southern Maryland, Cumberland County College, Anne Arundel Community College and CCBC Essex. Sherif dished out an assist against CCBC Catonsville and three helpers against Chesapeake College.

For his career, Sherif registered eight goals and five assists for 21 points on 63 shots in 33 games including 32 starts. Earlier this year in an interview, he stated that he intends to attend the University of Maryland next year and attempt to walk-on to the men's soccer program now that his two seasons in Largo are complete.

Prince George's finished the first season under head coach Tony Galeano 9-7-1 overall and 6-5-0 in MD JUCO play. The Owls season ended in the NJCAA Region XX Division III semifinals with a 2-1 overtime loss against Howard Community College.
