  • Prince George's starts NJCAA Region XX Division III action on Tuesday at Howard Community College.
  • The Owls will also travel to Anne Arundel Community College on Oct. 5 and host Northern Virginia Community College on Oct. 13 in NJCAA Region XX Division III action to set up seeding for the NJCAA Region XX Division III Tournament hosted by Howard Community College on Oct. 26-28.
  • The Dragons defeated Prince George's in both meetings in 2017.
  • Prior to last season, the Owls were 3-0-1 in the previous four regular season meetings with Howard.
  • The Dragons are 2-2-0 overall and 1-0-0 in Maryland JUCO action this season and were ranked fifth in the NJCAA Division III preseason poll.
THE LAST TILT
 
  • Prince George's lost 4-0 to the defending national champions Genesee Community College on Sunday in raining, sloppy field conditions at the Tom Bichy Tournament.
  • The game was halted at the 70-minute mark due to the weather and field conditions.
  • Freshman Aboubacarr Sinera made two saves in the first 45 minutes and freshman Yoaimo Khan Torres had one shot turned away in the final 25 minutes of the match.
  • Sophomore Moh Sherif had a team-high two shots on the afternoon.
  • Freshmen Abdelrahman Ahmed, John Jean and Jalen Washington each made their collegiate debut in the contest.
THE ROAD AHEAD
 
  • Prince George's will make its 2018 home debut against Union County Community College on Saturday at the Bermuda Field on campus.
  • After a road game at Harford Community College on Sept. 18, the Owls will play its next four matches at home with College of Southern Maryland (Sept. 21), CCBC Essex (Sept. 25), CCBC Catonsville (Sept. 28) and Chesapeake College (Oct. 2) coming to town during this stretch.
  • Prince George's will play eight games in Largo and eight games on the road this season.
  • The Owls have posted a winning mark both at home and on the road in the last five years and hold a 28-15-2 mark at home and 36-17-1 dating back to the 2013 campaign.
  • The squad is 1-1 for the first time since 2016 when Prince George's went on to win the NJCAA Region XX Division III title and participate in the NJCAA Division III Championship.
