Men’s Basketball Opens Up 2022 With Road Trip to Dundalk

The Prince George's Community College men's basketball team will finally return to action this Saturday, January 8th when the Owls travel to CCBC Dundalk for another conference matchup. The Owls last played nearly a month ago when they traveled to Philadelphia on December 11th. Prince George's second half rally came up just short as the Owls missed on a game-tying three-point attempt as time winded down, falling to Philadelphia's Lions 79-76.

Playing Dundalk's Lions on Saturday, the Owls are looking to start the new year off on the right foot. The Owls have posted a 5-4 record thus far in the season, which includes 3-1 in Maryland JUCO play. The Lions enter with a 6-5 overall record and 2-2 in conference play as they take on the Owls in their first contest of the new year as well.

The Lions will be searching for their first win in over a month, with their last victory taking place on December 7th against College of Southern Maryland when the Lions escaped with a 74-69 victory. The Owls will host College of Southern Maryland for their next game on Tuesday, January 11th.
