THE LAST TILT

• Prince George's Community College faced a 17-point deficit midway through the first half before Alex Morales and Tunde Scrivner combined for 32 points to fuel a 38-15 run to close the first half and outscored CCBC Catonsville 98-44 the rest of the way to earn a 108-71 decision on Friday. The duo finished with a combined 61 points, 24 rebounds, 13 steals and 11 assists.
• Morales notched a career-high 34 points for the Owls (17-2, 8-2 MD JUCO) after shooting 12-for-17 from the floor, 1 of 2 from behind the arc and 9 of 11 from the charity stripe. It was his seventh 20+ game this season and 12th of his career while he also has posted four games with at least 25 points in his career. The sophomore added 15 rebounds to notch his eighth-straight double-double and 13th of the season. It was the fifth time this season he reached 15+ rebounds. Coming off his third triple-double of the season, Morales narrowly missed his fourth of the season and the first with steals instead of assists, but finished the game with a career-high nine thefts. In the two games this week, he averaged 26.0 points, 13.0 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 5.0 steals per game.
• Coming off a career-high 32-point effort on Wednesday, Scrivner posted 27 points and was going after his first career double-double or possibly triple-double after finishing with a career-high nine rebounds and seven assists. The freshman also added four steals in the game. Scrivner has five 20+ games this season, including three-straight 20-point outputs and is averaging 26.3 points per game in his last three games. He also grabbed at least five caroms for the ninth time this season and had six or more dimes for the third time including matching the seven assists he had against Westmoreland County Community College on December 8.
• Jalen Robinson also had a career night with a personal-best 13 points. The sophomore now has five double-figure point performances this season that includes a pair of 10-point games and two 11-point performances. Dexter Turner registered eight points, six assists and four steals while Jordan Hicks also had eight points in the win.
• Prince George's reached 100 points for the sixth time this season while shooting over 50.0 percent for the eighth time in 2018-19. It also marked the first time this season the squad trailed by double-digits in a victory.

THE ROAD AHEAD

• The Owls return to Novak Field House on Friday against Chesapeake College.
• Prince George's will wrap up its regular season home slate against Garrett College on Saturday.
• The Owls wrap up the regular season at Allegany (Md.) on February 6.
• Hagerstown will host the Maryland JUCO Tournament this year. Prince George's currently sits in the Top-4 of the standings.
• Prince George's will also host the region tournament in February where it will be the No. 1 seed in the tournament.
