THE LAST TILT
 
  • Prince George's overcame a four-point deficit in overtime and closed the game on an 8-2 run to defeat SUNY Sullivan 84-82 in overtime on Sunday.
  • Freshman Tunde Scrivner scored the game-winning basket with 19 seconds left. Scrivner finished a career-high 31 points thanks to 12-for-18 shooting from the field, 6 of 10 from behind the arc and made from the free throw line. In the second half, the freshman nailed a triple as the shot-clock expired with 7:38 left. He added four rebounds, two steals and one assist. Scrivner has reached double figures all five games this season off the bench and had a career-best 15-point performance against Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology on Nov. 6 and against CCAC Allegheny before Sunday's outpouring. The freshman is averaging 17.4 points per game this season.
  • Sophomore Deon Savage  added a career-high 16 points off the bench for his first 10-point performance of the campaign after shooting 6 of 8 from the field and 4 of 6 from the free throw line.
  • Sophomore Alex Morales continues his all-around performances with 12 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and three steals. Morales has reached double digits in points in all five contests and is averaging 19.4 points, 11.4 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 4.2 steals per game. It was the 23rd time the sophomore has posted at least 10 points in a game
  • Sophomore Dexter Turner posted 10 points, five assists and four steals in the winning effort. The sophomore posted seven of his 10 points in the final 3:04 of overtime. Turner has recorded double figures in points in three of the five games while he has handed out at least five helpers four times this season and is averaging 8.4 points and 7.0 assists per game. He has four double-digit point games in his career.
THE ROAD AHEAD
 
  • Prince George's returns home after the Thanksgiving break to start a five-game homestand, starting with Hagerstown Community College on Nov. 28.
  • Northern Virginia Community College (Dec. 4), Westmoreland County Community College (Dec. 8), Frederick Community College (Dec. 12) and Butler County Community College (Dec. 14) will come to town during a five-game homestand after Thanksgiving.
  • Prince George's Athletics will be holding a Toy Drive during its games on against Westmoreland County, Frederick and Butler County. It will also hold an Ugly Sweater Contest during the doubleheader against Butler County.
  • The Owls will then travel to Western Pennsylvania to face CCAC Boyce (Dec. 18) and CCAC Allegheny (Dec. 19) to close out the year 2018.
  • The Largo team will play 11 of its final 17 regular games at Novak Field House in the regular season. Prince George's will also host the region tournament.
