Softball Team Runs Clinic for Lake Arbor

Softball Team Runs Clinic for Lake Arbor

The Owls Softball Team ran two free clinics for the Lake Arbor Lady Dodgers 10U, 12U, and 14U teams at the end of May.

Instruction on day one included; throwing and catching, sliding, pitching and catching, and infield and outfield work. Day two included hitting and bunting instruction. Several members of the Owls softball team were present to assist Head Coach, Melissa Miller, with the clinics. Ashley Hawkins, Angela Figueroa, and Shannon Peters worked with the pitchers and catchers and infield work; Stranieka Proctor, Tashiana Hill, Canesha Marshall, and Brionne Tucker worked with sliding and infield/outfield work.

The young ladies were receptive to what the college athletes were working on them with and learned several new skills to use in their upcoming season. The coaching staff was present to watch over their teams, assist, and hear what the Owl staff was teaching.

The Owls look forward to and enjoy working with Lake Arbor and other local teams to further the game of softball in the county.
