Baseball Team on a Roll
PGCC Baseball continues to improve each week whith 2 more wins this past Saturday. We had great pitching once again in game 1 Bobby Browning 2012 Eleanor Roosevelt grad threw 4 scoreless innings giving up no walks and Jon Powell 2012 Northeast(AA CO) grad closed the game out allowing 1 unearned run. Our offensive attack was just as impressive scoring in the double digits.
We had 6 hits will 2 outs with runners on base. An overall team effort. Game 2 of the double header we started of slow on offense but starter bryan shores 2012 south river grad keep us in the game throwing the first 3 inning allowing time for our bats to wake up and eventually take the lead and never look back. Andrew Byrd 2011 Wise Grad and NC A&T transfer finisher our opponent off throwing the last 4 innings. 2nd yr player Melvin Johnson got the momentum back for us with a towering blast over the left field fence that ended up on our soccer field. Many more guys contributed to our 2 victories too many to list a great team effort. Our next game will be this Saturday vs. Towson University club at PGCC noon start.
