Great start for Owls Basketball

Great start for Owls Basketball

Men's basketball is off to a great start with a thrilling 20 point comeback in their first preseason game to defeat Washington Adventist 85-82. With seven sophomores, it only took a couple of days and the second half against Washington Adventist for the team chemistry to kick in.  Donell Diggs a second year player who was instrumental in helping the Owls capture the Regional Championship last season, has high hopes for the group but believes that they still have a long way to go. He was most impressed with the way the team came together to erase an 8 point deficit with a little over a minute to go.

Currently, coach Joyner has great confidence in his point guard and leader who has great character on and off the court. He believes Diggs will be a big time player for the Owls this season and hopes his play can help the team reclaim the Regional Title.

The Owls next scrimmages will be on October 25 and November 2, at the JUCO Jamboree and Navy respectively.
