Kori made an immediate impact on the Owls program which won the Region XX trophy for the first time since the 2014-15 season as she appeared in 26 of the Owls 27 contests, starting 25 of those. People finished the season averaging 16.8 points per game while shooting 43.4% from the floor. Kori also provided a strong defensive presence throughout the season as well, averaging 3.6 steals per game which she often used to score in transition with her speed.

Prior to her most recent accomplishment, People was previously named to the Region XX All-Tournament Team during which the Owls won their fifth Region XX Championship in program history against Anne Arundel on February 23rd. She finished the contest as the leading scorer with 21 points on 64% (9-14) shooting from the floor while grabbing 9 rebounds. Following the season, Kori was also selected as a member of the Division III Region XX First Team.

Kori is now one of just ten Prince George's Community College women's basketball players selected as an All-American and is the most recent since 2017-18 when sophomore Gina Seifert was chosen as an Honorable Mention.
