Prince George's Athletics Announces Move to NJCAA Division II

Exciting News!! Prince George's Community College has been approved by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) to upgrade its Division III intercollegiate athletic teams to the Division II level, beginning with the 24-25 academic year. This is fantastic news, as we can now offer scholarship opportunities to student-athletes pursuing a college degree while participating in intercollegiate athletics.

This milestone presents a wonderful opportunity to enhance our athletic programs and provide new avenues for student-athletes to excel. With this upgrade, our soccer, basketball, baseball, and softball teams will transition to competing at the Division II level.

Student-athletes dedicate a significant amount of their time to practice and game competition, which makes it challenging to work part-time. They need our financial support. We are thrilled to provide athletic scholarships to encourage and support them.

NJCAA Division II programs are highly competitive, and we aim to provide an excellent athletic experience to our student-athletes. Division II colleges have the provision to grant tuition, fees, books and up to $250 in course required supplies. We have a rich history of student-athlete success and want to continue this legacy.
