Women’s Basketball Looks to Turn Things Around Against Howard

Prince George's women's basketball will return to the hardwood tomorrow, December 4th to take on Howard Community College at Novak Field House. The Owls (4-4, 0-3) enjoyed a hot start to the season which saw the team compile a perfect 4-0 record in the first four games to kick off the season. Since their first four victories, the Owls have suffered four losses including three straight against Maryland JUCO opponents. Prince George's will have a chance to turn things around tomorrow when they return home to take on Howard's Dragons (7-2, 1-1).

The Owls have been led by Sophomore Tatiana Garvin who is averaging a double-double with 20.5 points per game to go along with 12.7 rebounds per game. Garvin has been aided by freshmen DaJine'e Gatling, Kori People, and Trinity Workman who have all averaged over 13 points per game to help lead the Owls. Prince George's will also need to lean on their defense in order to convert in transition as Howard has averaged over 81 points per contest.

The matchup against Howard Community College is the first of two home games for Prince George's this week. The Owls will look to gain some momentum before tomorrow before taking on Butler County Community College on Saturday, December 7th.
