Prince George's Track And Field Set To Participate At Delaware Classic On Saturday

opening jog… The Prince George's track and field team travels to the Delaware Classic on Saturday for the squad's fourth competition of the year.

last time out… Mary Foday recorded two Top-12 finishes to pace the Prince George's Community College track and field team at the Towson Invitational on April 15. Foday finished fifth in the 100m dash with a time of 12.55 and then finished first in her 200m dash heat and 12th overall with a time of 25.98. Along with Foday's points in the 100m dash, the 4x100m relay team placed eighth with a time of 50.00. Hannah White placed 27th in the 200m dash (27.30) while Ashley White (White Plains, Md./Prince Anne) was 42nd in the event (27.58). The men's 4x400m relay posted a fourth-place standing (3:25.79) while Christy-Morel Andjalepou finished ninth in the 800m run with a time of 1:59.87 for the only Top-10 standings on the men's side. Ari Wilson placed 14th in the 400m dash (50.73) and Edwin Brown III was 18th in the 800m run (2:12.01) while Baladji Diakite finished 32nd in the 200m dash (24.18) and Tommy Hunt III was 43rd in the race (24.87).

next run… Prince George's returns to action at the prestigious Penn Relays on Apr. 27-29.

the roster… Head coach Richard Johnson has compiled a roster of 10 athletes, including returners Druex Collins and Nisheil Forbes on the women's side.

recapping last year… The Owls women's track and field team finished as the NJCAA National Runners-Up in Division III last year.

about the coach… Head coach Richard Johnson begins his ninth season as head coach of the track and field program. He has led the women's track and field program to NJCAA National Runners-Up in 2016 and Region XX Runners Up in 2009 while the 2010 men's track and field team won the Region XX title.
