Owls Earn 105-94 Road Win at Essex County

Prince George's Community College men's basketball picked up an impressive road victory on Tuesday night, defeating Essex County College 105-94 in a high-scoring shootout.

The Owls carried a 49-42 lead into halftime after a strong opening 20 minutes. Both offenses stayed hot in the second half, but Prince George's maintained control by outscoring the Wolverines 56-52 to secure the 11-point win.

Prince George's showed their depth with five players finishing in double figures. Sophomore Willie Rivera Jr. led the way with 21 points, 5 assists, and 5 rebounds. Lynn King III added 14 points and 6 boards. The Owls bench also delivered a major boost as Kelly Okoroh (12 points), Sidy Koite (12 points), and Tyler Donald (10 points) all reached double-digits as well.

Prince George's was efficient across the board, connecting on an impressive 50% (15/30) from beyond the arc and an even higher 54.8% (34/62) from the floor in general on the night.

With the victory the Owls improve to 4-1 on the season. They return home to begin conference and region play on Thursday at 7 PM, hosting CCBC Catonsville.
