Bulldogs Ink Final Upgrade To Roster For 2014-15 Season
ORANGEBURG, SC—South Carolina State head

Garvin added the final addition to the recruiting piece with
the signing of Gabriel McCray out of Prince Georges Community
College in Largo, MD to a National Letter of Intent.
McCray, a very athletic and talented 6-7, 200 pound combo
guard/forward will play multiple positions on the court for the
Bulldogs this upcoming 2014-15 season. A 2nd Team All
NJCAA DIII All-American last season, he led the Owls in scoring
with 18.0 points, 11 rebounds and 5.1 assists per contest.
He was named to the 2013-14 All Maryland JUCO and All Region XX
1st teams, while being selected to the Maryland JUCO
All-Star team respectively.
A two-year starter for Prince Georges Community College, he led his
team to the Maryland JUCO Final Four and earned Region XX
Tournament MVP honors after the Owls closed out the season with a
20-10 record.
"We are thrilled and excited to have signed a highly recruited
talented young man like Gabe," said Garvin. "He brings excitement
and versatility to our team and we are glad to have him as a part
of the Bulldog family."
McCray, highly recruited from schools across the country, chose SC
State over Duquesne, Long Island University (LIU), Alabama A&M,
Morgan State, just to name a few.
