Owls Cruise to Victory over CCBC Dundalk

Largo, Md. – The Owls showcased a good performance hitting and fielding and this propelled them to an 11-2 win against CCBC Dundalk.

With the win, the Owls (11-9, 7-9 MDJUCO) have shown that they are getting better with each game played and over the last seven games have earned a 5-2 record. Overall, they will need these type of performances from key players to continue, with only 12 regular season games remaining before hosting the Region XX DIII Tournament on May 8-10.

According to Head Coach Buddy Foster, this was a good test to start off a tough weekend, as it was the first of seven home games to be played within the next four days.  The Owls will play Garrett, Frederick, and Hagerstown and these are all double headers scheduled for April 17, 18 and 19 respectively. Start time for Friday's game is set for 2:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday is 12:00 PM.

Currently, the Owls are sitting in the middle of the MDJUCO standings and key wins over top opponents such as Hagerstown and Frederick would see them climb the chart. However, the coaching staff and players alike believes this will be a tough task and intend to use these games to gain even more experience going into the Regional playoffs.
