She was a four-year varsity player while attending Parkdale helping and leading the team to the playoffs in her senior year; the first time in the women’s basketball program in over 15 years.  From Parkdale, she attended Prince George’s Community College playing under Coach Barvenia Wooten-Collier. During her two years, she helped lead the team to a 15-0 record in her first year and winning a NJCAA Region XX Championship her sophomore year.  She was ranked in the MD JUCO Conference top 5 in scoring and free throws, as well as leading the conference in steals and assists.  She was named to the MD JUCO All-Conference Team and All-Tournament team.

Coach Harris transferred to Bluefield State College, WV on a full scholarship.  At Bluefield State College, she set records in steals and assists.   After completing her two years at Bluefield State College, became the assistant women’s basketball coach for the next two years.  She continued her basketball career playing on an over sea’s touring team for a year.  Coach Harris returned to Prince George’s Community College in 2009 to be the assistant coach under longtime coach, mentor, and friend Coach Barvenia Wooten- Collier.  The team had a very successful academic year and a wonderful season, placing 2nd in the MD JUCO, and advancing to the 2010 nationals in Illinois.  The team placed 11th out of over 130 teams in the NJCAA Division II. She took over the program as head coach in the 2010-2011 season. The team has advanced to the Region XX DIII Tournament each year during her tenure.
