Bio

Gary Blake is in his fourth season as the assistant women’s basketball coach of the Prince George’s Community College women’s basketball program.  Blake, a Charleston, SC, native is a twenty year US Air Force veteran.  He played and coached Air Force basketball in Europe and at many different stateside military installations.  This is Blake’s second stent as an assistant at PGCC.  He served as an assistant with the women’s program during the 2002-2003 and 2003-2004 seasons.  Blake also served as assistant coach of the women’s basketball program at Trinity University, DC from 2004-2006 before taking over the program from 2006-2008.  He guided the program to it best season in school history and first ever conference championship appearance.  In his first campaign as head coach, Blake was selected as the conference coach of the year.  Blake earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Maryland University College and a Masters Degree in Sports Management from California University of Pennsylvania.
