Hill Lifts Lady Owls over Wolfpack

Shanice Warren's (Frederick Douglass HS) 2 free throws to tie the game and a great final defensive stance by the Lady Owls set the stage for a dramatic ending to the contest versus the Wolfpack of Westmoreland County Community College (PA).  With the game tied and 6.6 seconds left in regulation, sophomore, Tashiana Hill (Suitland HS) dribbled the length of the court and pulled up a three point shot attempt which found its way in the bottom of the net as time expired to lift the Lady Owls to a 63-60 victory.   Four Lady Owls scored in double figures; Warren led the way with 19 points followed by Hill with 15.  Sabriena Shubert (Bowie HS)tallied 12 points, and Porchia Smith (Northwestern HS) added 10 points along with 12 rebounds.

The victory evens the Lady Owls regular season record to 3-3 as they begin conference play versus Montgomery College on Thursday, November 21^st.  Game time is 5:00pm.
