Lady Owls Enter National Tournament as No. 8 Seed

The Prince George's Community College women's basketball team is headed back to the NJCAA Division III National Championship as the 8th seed for the third consecutive year. Prince George's learned of its seeding during the 2024 NJCAA Division III Women's Basketball Selection Show on Wednesday, March 6th where all 12 teams in contention for a national title learned who they'll be facing.

The tournament will be a standard twelve-team tournament, seeded 1-12 with games played on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The No. 1-4 seeds will receive a first-round bye. All games will be played at The Rochester Regional Sports Center in Rochester, MN.

Prince George's (13-5) earned an automatic bid to the tournament after defeating Patrick & Henry Community College, 67-58, in the Mid-Atlantic District Championship inside Novak Field House on Saturday, March 2nd. The win marked the third year in a row that the Owls have hosted and won their district in front of a home crowd.

The Owls will face 9th seeded Community College of Rhode Island in the very first game of the tournament on Wednesday, March 13th at 1 PM EST. Rhode Island enters the tournament as East District Champions with a 20-7 record after defeating Northern Essex in the championship. The winner will advance to the quarterfinals the next day to take on the tournament top seed and last year's runners-up, Minnesota West. The loser will face whoever loses between number 5 seed Northland and 12 seed Nassau in a consolation game the following day at 11 AM EST. The full championship bracket can be viewed here. 

Each game will be live streamed on the NJCAA Network with package options that include single-game purchases or all-tournament passes. Live stats will also be available for each game.
