Prince George's Community College baseball jumped back into the win column with a pair of come from behind victories at home, 11-1 and 14-7, over Cecil College on Wednesday, April 18th. The wins moved the Owls to 8-14 on the year and 7-11 in conference play.

The Owls started off hot in game one, capitalizing on a Seahawks error to take a 2-0 lead in the 1st. Cecil responded with a run in the second but it was all Prince George's the rest of the way as the Owls tacked on one in the third before piling on eight more runs, including a walk-off balk, in the bottom of the fifth to take game one early in 5 innings. Sophomore Jaisal Kapoor (Silver Spring, MD) threw all five innings for the Owls as he picked up his second win on the season.

Gabriel Lebron (Apopka, FL) had himself a day during game two, finishing 2-4 from the plate with a triple, one double, and 4 RBI's. Perhaps Lebron's most impressive play of the day came in the fifth when the Owls batter reach on a fielder's choice which put Lebron in no man's land trying to reach home. Lebron proceeded to beat the rundown in a back-and-forth sprint and evade the tag at home plate to score and extend the Owls lead.

Up next for Prince George's is a weekend away in western Pennsylvania for a pair of doubleheaders beginning with Allegheny County on Saturday, April 20th. First pitch is slated for 12 PM.
