Athletic Training

Welcome to Prince George's Community College

Dear Student-Athletes and Parents/Guardians,

On behalf of the athletic training staff, we are excited about the upcoming academic year and athletic season. We look forward to working with you. Our staff is committed to maintaining and improving the quality of health and athletic performance of our student-athletes.

As part of the athletic department, the athletic training staff provides high-quality medical care for all student-athletes. Athletic trainers are allied health professionals recognized by the American Medical Association.

Athletic trainers are responsible for the prevention, evaluation, management, rehabilitation, and treatment of injuries/illnesses that may occur during participation in athletic endeavors. The prevention of these injuries/illnesses, where possible, is of utmost concern. The athletic training staff works in conjunction with team physicians at the Student Health Center and their staff, surrounding medical facilities, Prince George’s Community College athletic staff and the student-athletes to carry out these tasks.

As an integral part of our preventative efforts, we ask that you read and complete the paperwork found on our website in our Forms section found at the bottom of the main page. After completion of the entire packet, please mail or drop off the original forms to the address below, emails or any other electronic forms will not be accepted.  Student-athletes are not permitted to participate until the completed packet is received. Also, each participant must be covered by an insurance plan to participate in Prince George's Community College Athletics.

  • To participate in Prince George's Community College Athletics; student-athletes need to bring in a printed copy of their schedule and a pre-participation physical filled out, with a stamp for validation, by a physician and signed by the student-athlete. The physical form should be filled out on or after July 1st of the summer prior to participation year and is only good for one year.
  • If any student-athlete turns in false documents that student-athlete will not be allowed to participate in any intercollegiate athletic program for that academic year.
